Selected-country construction indices
Eurostat sts_copi_a · Unadjusted annual observations · Full available history
Producer prices measure the price charged by the constructor; construction costs measure input costs. The two series are kept separate. European aggregates are labelled explicitly.
Data limitation: Eurostat’s API provides only the latest data; earlier values cannot be retrieved once they have been revised. A version from the same time last year therefore cannot be downloaded directly as it can for the IMF and OECD datasets used on this site. Eurostat documentation
Long-run construction growth
Starting year t · next 20y annualized growth = ((index at t + 20 / index at t)^(1/20) − 1) × 100. Historical endpoint calculation; no forecast or extrapolation.
Country-year construction data
Source: Eurostat Data Browser · sts_copi_a · Definitions and methodology. Source index: 2021=100; unadjusted annual data. The 2010 index is calculated only when the same series has a positive 2010 observation. Annual growth requires the immediately preceding year; missing observations remain blank. Equal index levels do not imply equal construction prices across countries. Eurostat flags are preserved; provisional or estimated observations are not forecasts.
